She cries silently inside so that no one can see, a veneer of courage masking an impenetrable sorrow.
She had to be the unfaltering beacon of hope, of faith, of LOVE. Some probably think her mad, others have remembered, broken the spell cast by fear that keeps so many enthralled, ensnared, enslaved, thou they are as seemingly powerless as she to effect real change upon the almost insurmountable challenges humanity has placed ignorantly before themselves.
But her vast melancholy was born not so much for she and her fellow man who so eagerly and with great gusto, choose to greet their certain, imminent demise. No the tears that were drowning her heart are shed for her beloved planet and all life upon it they were making extinct or maiming severely.
The innocence was dead, assassinated and that was more than all LOVE in her spirit could keep her from being overwhelmed by the unyielding despair; a feeling of blue so dark… it was almost black.
just LOVE…
