It Is Not Death I Fear…

Death I do not fear
Not mine, not yours, not ours
But to know that one day
To this experience we will be gone
That one day all those we LOVE will be gone
And knowing that still we choose
To inflict on one another
Moment after selfiish hellish moment
Soul torturing misery
Is a pain so soul wrenchingly insane
That the even fate of oblivion
The unknown awaiting beyond the veil
Feels like a long lost friend
Silently calling me to come home, to peace, to rest

No death I do not fear
But this Pandora’s box called western civilization
Filled with one horror more terrible than the next
Is the rhyming nightmare
That keeps my eyes from closing
To sleep at dusk
And from them opening
Only to be greeted by the next
Loveless demon in the dawn

just LOVE…
