Unless one becomes desireless they cannot become fearless. Because desire is at the root of all fear; the desire for life, the desire for happiness, the desire for LOVE. Specifically, it is losing what one desires most that is at the root of all fear. But once one is free of desire they become aware that life, happiness, LOVE is innate to them. And with the awareness that that which they desire is integral to the true self, and therefore can never be lost, they also become aware that in reality there was and is nothing they ever need fear. And with desire gone, fear vanishes back into the mists of the illusions the true self, LOVE imagined. So maybe it is better stated; not that all we have to fear is fear itself, but rather all we have to fear is the illusion of losing the imagined desires we imagined that are the source of our imagined fear…
